I just made incrimental improvements but its far from finished and its gonna stay that way because I am very busy with a project.
Anyway another question for those who can help;
I used particle emitters to simulate flowing water from the top of the fountain to make it look realistic when it hits the sides, BUT the render time(with GI, AA, etc...) is endless.
Any help on how to reduce it or how to use a different method?

That is a very nice scene you have there. Although I have to say the fountain's detail is dis-proportionate to the rest of the scene. Can't wait to see what the animation looks like when you resolve your render time issues.

I am sorry to disappoint you but I kinda dumped the project, I think the only way to resolve the render issue is to get a faster computer! =D

Fair enough ... I have the luxury of only ever working with low detail work that should, in a game engine render 100 times a second so I emphathise (sp?) with you on this.

looks good, I think the brick texture is a wee bit too repetetive, there seems to be a bit of shadowing on the left hand side of the texture, so when it's mapped it looks a bit tile-y. apart from that though, looks cool

Yes that is very true, the texture was only temporary, but I dumped the project so it will never be finished.
Thanks for your comment.

Yes I only use C4D. As for the mood I think you can see what I had in mind but the scene is a bit far off, I just couldnt figure out the lighting. And a big 10q for the :+fav:

no problem, it still looks great though, or maybe its just fromt his view, atleast you are experimenting with lighting scenes and landscapes, I however only know and like to light single or main objects, not scenes or anything of that nature.

Usually it is quite easy with c4d, sky object, sun object, GI and turning off autolighting usually does it. But this time I just couldn't get it right. Anyway, thanks for the comments.
